Start of my internship
The coming months I will be very busy doing an internship. For that reason I've updated my weblog, which will be the primary channel of external communication about the internship.
I'll be working at Infrae, a software services company based in Rotterdam. The company builds open source solutions for content, asset, and document management, and provides development and integration services using the Python programming language. Since only two of Infrae's six employees speak native Dutch, I'll be writing my blog in English.
My work at Infrae will be focussed on the development of a realtime statistics application for BrusselNieuws, using Python and possibly a Python framework. The primary goal for me is to learn about every aspect of a software development project, such as doing research, write technical documentation and do interface and interaction design. During development, working with the terminal, deployment on the server, unit testing and debugging will be addressed.
I'm really looking forward to working at Infrae and I'd like to thank Kit Blake for taking me in, as well as Sandra Hekkelman and Jasper Op de Coul for helping me find this internship position.
