BestGolfCaddy
BestGolfCaddy is an application for golfers, by golfers. The client has international ambitions which made for a special challenge. In cooperation with designer and brand developer Jeff Simons I developed a webapplication which meets modern usability guidelines and web standards. In development I applied the Progressive Enhancement principle. The project also included payment processing for iDeal and credit cards, which was new to me.
At the moment iPhone and Android apps are in the making, which will communicate with the webserver through a RESTful API that I developed. The API includes various security features which are commonly used in payment processing systems.

BestGolfCaddy is een website van golfers, voor golfers. De opdrachtgevers hebben internationale ambitie, en dat zorgde voor een bijzondere uitdaging. In samenwerking met designer en merkontwikkelaar Jeff Simons, 3e jaars student Communicatie & Multimedia Design heb ik in 5 maanden tijd een website opgezet die bol staat van intuïtieve interactie. Bij de ontwikkeling van de website is uit gegaan van het Progressive Enhancement principe; zo hebben we bewust gebruik gemaakt van CSS3 specifieke mogelijkheden zoals border-radius. Voor mij was dit tevens de eerste keer dat ik een betaalsysteem voor iDeal en creditcards heb geïmplementeerd.
