Ventures into Ruby on Rails
It's been a while since I updated my blog, so it's high time to write something new. After my internship at Infrae, life went back to school. We had some interesting courses such as Design Patterns and a new project involving real-time in-car sensor data. All in all very cool stuff to work with, but I was up for a new challenge.
I decided it was time to use a framework other than Cotonti for a change, and work with another programming language while at it. I'd heard a lot of great things about Rails, so I just had to try it. A new project was born: Venture Manager
Venture Manager is an educative text-based browser game for Facebook. It involves starting a virtual company, hiring and training employees, running marketing campaigns and ultimately becoming the largest firm in town.
I've only just started development, so there isn't much to show yet. The plan is for it to take shape the next few months, so the first version can be launched by the end of this year. If you'd like to participate in the project, feel free to contact me.
